Recently, the mentoring project "Father Figure" was launched in EGK neighborhoods of Amsterdam Zuidoost. The organisation is still looking for ambitious young people and enthusiastic coaches. Are you interested or do you have someone in mind, do not hesitate to contact the organisation to participate in this great project. Mentors are required to be living or working in Amsterdam.

The project "Father Figure" is intended to support and mentor promising young people from single parent households (aged 11 to 21 years), with a missing father figure. The mentor of coach is possibly someone from their own ethnic group or someone who can relate to the young person. Many young people who have been coached do better in school, at finding work, keeping a job and gaining confidence.

The young person will get a mentor (men and women aged 25 years). Preferably these mentors are directors, managers and others who want to make a positive contribution to the young persons life and society. These will be deployed for one year as a role model for young people to serve in the EGK-district of Amsterdam Zuidoost.
